Home Ec Club

DESCRIPTION:  The Home Economics Club is an organization with a central focus on family. Students will be taught basic life skills, which they will then be encouraged to put into practice.

OBJECTIVE:  To study and put into practice the basics of sewing, cooking, crafting, and child rearing.

MEETINGS: At least once each month during the Activity Period

MEMBERSHIP:  All students (and faculty/staff) are invited to attend meetings and/or activities as time permits.

The Home Ec Club was created at the request of several students who wanted to a) learn more about the domestic sciences, and b) share their love of such knowledge with other students. This organization will meet to create a calendar of activities for the semester, which will include such topics as:

  • Sewing/repairing a simple garment
  • Crocheting/Knitting a basic item
  • Cross-Stitch/Embroidery
  • Planning and creating a simple, nutritious meal
  • Baking
  • Scrapbooking
  • Family Photography
  • And other surprises!
