I am a Dallas native with degrees from Southern Methodist University (BFA in Theatre, Acting), and The University of Dallas (MA in Humanities). I also earned a Teaching Credential from California State University, Northridge in Theatre and English. As an actor, I have appeared in the television series Friday Night Lights, The Deep End, The Good Guys, and Dallas, with several stage appearences in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and Los Angeles. Critical essays on Theater have been published by The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture on The Trickster Figure in Comedy entitled, Christy Mahon: Emerging Poneros, and The Son Figure in Tragedy entitled, The Bridegroom in Lorca's Blood Wedding. I have been teaching for 25 years, beginning when I was still in college, teaching workshops for UIL One-Act Play competitions. I taught for 5 years in Los Angeles Unified School District, and for 3 years I was Drama Director and World Literature Teacher at Santa Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, California.
I have been teaching at Bishop Lynch High School since 1995, having directed 40 plays, and several student written and performed films. Several of my students have gone on to earn Bachelors and Masters degrees in Theatre, and many are working professionally.
Fall 2015: The Hollow by Agatha Christie:
The Fall Play The Hollow by Agatha Christie opens in 4 weeks! November 9th at 7:30pm the great story of a doctor who gets shot while visiting some friends in the country unfolds on the Black Box stage. Come enjoy the intimate theater experience of a Black Box production where you, the audience, are inside the set of the play!
The play runs Wednesday through Saturday evening until November 19th.
