Stuart Kantor is entering his 19th year at Bishop Lynch. A member of the English Department, he teaches English III, Advanced English IV, AP / DE English IV, and Media Literacy. In addition, he is also the English Department Chair. A graduate of the University of Florida for both undergrad and graduate school, Kantor made his way back to Texas via Bishop Lynch colleague, childhood friend and English Department member, Bill Storey.
Bishop Lynch promotes the full educational experience outside of the classroom. In this realm, Kantor moderates the following club: the National English Honor Society. He also co-authored the student-favorite Tao of Composition research paper guide.
Away from Bishop Lynch, Kantor is the co-founder of and Co-Executive Director for the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association (as well as its webmaster.) During his time as an assistant track coach, he helped the Friar squads to 4 state titles (+ a 5th as an asst basketball coach in 2002). An avid reader and traveler, landscaping, writing and spending time with his wife occupy much of his time. He and his wife, Kat, have a son - Matthew (BL '08) - a graduate of Warren Wilson College in beautiful Asheville, NC.
