Mr. Frank Brown

About Me:

My name is Frank Brown. I hope this doesn't make you jealous but I have the coolest job in the world.  I am currently beginning my 15th year as a fine arts instructor at Bishop Lynch High School. I hold two degrees in studio art and have been making art as long as I can remember.   I am married almost 30 years to the artist Denise M.A.Brown.  We  have two kids that are growing up fast. My son Nick graduated from B.L. in 2006. My daughter Erin is currently a Junior at Bishop Lynch.

We also have two dogs, Homer, a precocious terrier and Sadie, a not overly brilliant border collie. They love to hang out with me, spread out on the floor of my studio while I work.

In addition to art making and family, I also love teaching. I love seeing that look on a kid's face when they've succeeded at a difficult task. I love teaching critical thinking and problem problem skills. I love watching confidence grow as a child gets pushed above and beyond their own self imposed limits. It really is a fun job.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you.
