The Ledger

The Ledger is Bishop Lynch High School's newspaper, written and produced by the Publications class. There are seven issues each year - three in the fall semester and four in the spring. Comments are welcomed and encouraged. Any information to be considered for inclusion in The Ledger should be sent to the attention of Michele Longoria.

BL gathers some THIRTEEN CARFULS of food that were delivered to Catholic Charities! Bishop Lynch experimented with "Snow Days of the future" by implementing "E Days" during the recent ice and snow storm. Staff Writer Natalie Balmer reports on the success of the on-line learning day.

The Black and White Ball, BL's Winter Formal, had less than anticipated attendance. Staff writer Natalie Balmer talks to the Director of Student Activities and students to explain why students might be "Too Cool for School." With the advent of Netflix, and having any television show or movie at your fingertips 24/7, how do students deal with the distractions around them? Staff Writer Alex Marcello talks to students about how they try to stay focused. The Lady Friars girls soccer team is having a phenomenal year, having risen to the ranks of number 1 in the country and having beaten powerhouse Ursuline in district play. Staff Writer Sarah Velten spoke with the coach and team members about their season so far and the TAPPS state tournament.

The Rachel’s Challenge club has re-focused its efforts in a new club called "Friars4unity." Staff writer Natalie Balmer talks to club president Meg Reynolds about the changes to the club.
