To download your Office, login to your Office365 account (https://portal.microsoftonline.com) with your school email address (first.last.gradYear@BLStudents.org). On the top right of the window, next to your name, is a sprocket. Click the sprocket, select "Office Settings", then Software; and you'll have a chance to install Office.
Step-by-step instructions for the installation can be found on this PDF. Remember, it's the student's account that manages the software installations, even if the software is being installed on a parent's computers. The student must log in to Office365 with their BL network credentials.
Students will receive ONE TERRABYTE of cloud storage for their files and projects. Webapps include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Access. This is available on your OneDrive.
The first time that you click OneDrive you need to access it through a browser, ideally from a wired (not wi-fi) network connection. Typically the initial setup for OneDrive can take between 10-30 minutes. Once this is done you will be able to access it however you choose (iPad, laptop, desktop computer, etc).
If you need to work offline, you will need to download Office and install it on your laptop.
Mac OS users may wish to user FireFox instead of Safari as some users have reported problems with Safari.
Each student will have their own Bishop Lynch email address and will use that to login to the online Office365. This information will be provided during orientation.
