THEOLOGY TEACHER – LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE

OVERVIEW

SUMMARY

Bishop Lynch High School is looking for an outstanding teacher with a passion for advancing the evangelizing mission of Catholic education and Bishop Lynch High School.  Bishop Lynch High School is looking for results driven theology educators who are able to teach a variety of theology levels in the following subjects: 

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Theology I
  • Theology II

Responsibilities Include:

  • Staying up-to-date on classroom technology.
  • Managing student behavior.
  • Establishing and maintaining communication with parents, students, administrators, and co-workers.
  • Completing all required reports, records, and documents in a timely manner.
  • Serving as a positive role model for students and supporting the school’s mission statement.
  • Participating as an active member of the Bishop Lynch community.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Theology or Theological Studies.
  • 24+ college credit hours in Theology.
  • 12 college credit hours in Education.
  • Demonstrated competency in the subject area with knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Desire to be held accountable for student academic growth and academic results.
  • Experience and interest in developing innovative uses of technology in the classroom.
  • Commitment to being a supportive, respectful, and energetic colleague.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior while maintaining a professional manner.
  • Must possess clear communication skills, strong work ethic, and excellent organizational skills.
